I really really really really really (really) encourage you to go to pedalshift.net rather than this page. Lots more bike touring, bicycle touring, adventure cycling, bikepacking... whatever we're calling it these days... there.
The Pedalshift Project is a series of conversations, thoughts,
and experiments around the bike touring lifestyle. From tips and
tricks to ideas on how to ride your ride… let’s shrink the world by
bike.

Daniel
made it to the border! Plus he got over the slide near Big Sur, and
says it "wasn't as hard as the talk"... so that's great news for
anyone trying to squeeze in the Pacific Coast route before the end
of the year. Hopefully the winter won't deteriorate the conditions
on the slide too much so the option remains next year if the slide
isn't completely removed in time for the beginning of the
season.
The Interview
In 2013, Jasmine took her best puppy friend, Fiji, a bicycle
and her violin on a trek across the United States with less than
$50 in her pocket. While on the road, she experienced profound acts
of kindness, strangers taking her and her dog into their homes,
feeding, sheltering and looking out for them.
In March 2016, she began to bicycle around the world in order
to fully explore the magnitude of living outside of the comfort
zone in a musical context. She took her pup and violin with the
intent to use music to bridge cultural and social gaps and learn as
much as possible in pursuit of her own personal dream to become a
professional violinist.
